Bloody Honker

by Colleen Rochette

Yes, tiny things do come in tiny packages! This past week  my compact Epilaeliocattleya Don Herman ‘Spots’ succinctly freed her two miniature blossoms. Surprisingly, I almost forgot that Spots was expecting. How could I fail to remember a gusher of a Nosebleed like this? I gasped so loud, I almost dropped my mister.

Ironically, these pin-sized drops of blood are pure and cheerful; a bright bit o’ sin swirled with a flawless hue of yellow. I find it hard not to be hungry for this girl.
