Mutant Cheetah Zebra Zygo

by Colleen Rochette

Upon sensing Zygopetalum’s purr, my body trembled slightly. Curious as to where she may be resting, I circled the Waldor Orchids display several times until we met eye to eye upon completion of my third lap.

This leggy Honey embraces true Amazonian characteristics. Her icy, quivering lip is smeared with a heavy purple pigment; her crown of petals is spotted with burnt sienna and crackled by genuine nuclear waste. Despite the mass of  jumbled flowers atop her long neck, she is able to maintain the most beautiful disposition. Simply, she is heavenly.
